Style Sheet and Query Notes

The first complete novel manuscript I copyedited was an anthology/workbook aimed at aspiring poets and fiction writers; it was a challenging project, but satisfying to complete. While it would be inappropriate to provide an example of the full manuscript copyedit in an online portfolio, I have included below a couple of the documents created to go along with the edit. I found the style sheet to be very useful as I worked through copyediting the novel, as it allowed me to make consistent style choices as I went along. The query letter was written to provide the author with some general guidelines and detailed notes to help him polish the manuscript, supplementing the detailed edit on the manuscript itself. Due to the sensitive nature of works-in-progress, all author names, titles, and identifying quotes have been removed from the projects below.
